Most of our shoes are designed for performance running and offer great traction on roads. Though many people choose to use them for other activities for their comfort and support, they are not intended for use on indoor floors and are not designed for slip resistance on the job.
Many factors, like terrain, rain, snow, and the age of your shoes can impact traction. Our trail shoes have TrailTack, a sticky coating that offers high-performance traction on mixed terrain. While not slip-resistant, these are a good option for runners looking for extra grip when running on various terrains or in wet and wintery conditions. We also offer the Ghost 16 Weatherized and Adrenaline GTS 24 Weatherized featuring enhanced wet/dry traction and a DWR mesh upper that provides temperature management and weather protection.
If you start to notice excessive slipping in your shoes, it may be time for a new pair. Our shoes are designed to last for approximately 300 to 500 miles of running. Using them for other activities or on surfaces they’re not designed for can cause the tread to wear more quickly, which can lead to a feeling of slipping or loss of traction.
